MIssion Trip

I am about to go to bed, so before I go let me tell you what I will be doing over the next few days. Tomorrow I will be driving a minibus full of middle schoolers going to Phillippi West Virginia. I am excited because prior to last week I was not going. I was staying behind and holding down the Junior High fort. Now, I will be going. I am excited. We will be helping someone with their house fixing it up. The couple has worked on other people's home and now get a chance for a group to come and help them. I love trips like these. It helps to get my lazy self off the couch and do something worthwhile compared to deciding what my next meal will be. Upon returning I will be doing some traveling for the next week. I'll be visiting the following states: Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. I hope to have stories. Talk to you soon....

Update

Everything is going well with my mom. I am along with my sisters are checking in more often. She is very lonely right now. Last week, was a setback. With family surrounding her, may make all the difference in the world. Keep my mom( Her name is Mary) in your prayers. It is sooo good to have my spiritual family surrounding me during all of this.

This week has been a busy one. I spoke today in High School chapel giving my testimony of what God has and is doing in my life. It was good for me to talk to them today. I also led our Junior High chapel reminding them about being good and being God. He loves them and they need to respect him always.

Chattanooga here I come with a bunch of 6th graders. Another trip, which are great to connect with kids. I have found myself really wanting to focus in on that lately. I did receive an email last week which I probably took the wrong way asking how am I connecting with our kids. The person was just asking a question and I took it as a threat. Anyway, all is good now.

God is good! Shine for him today!

Great Time on my trip!

I have a wonderful time this past week travelling in Oklahoma, Texas(Hot), and Arkansas(Hotter). I got to visit with friends who are very special to me. I ate with those that I could: Vernon and Ann, Roxie and Brent, KT and Jimmy, Nathan, Chris, Liz, and Jeremy( a hoot, you all need to meet Jeremy- He is growing to me one incredible young man- Liz and Chris- you will make it- If not I come to at least your trial- Hahaha), Layne and Kristy,Clinton and Belinda, and Brittany, and, kent and cara!

It was wonderful and tiring. I travelled over 1500 miles driving, and flew about 1500 miles round trip. It was great!

Those who know me well know that I enjoy taking people out to lunch. A good and bad habit. When I was a full time minister- it was great! Church paid for it! Now, I still enjoy a great meal with good company. I love that I have been blessed in this way. I also love when friends undersstand that about me. Many people took me out to dinner during my early years. I thought that was awesome, and now I get the chance as well. It really has become a hobby of mine!

2nd day of preplanning! Wow! I can't wait till the kids arrive. I will write more, but wanted to let you know how great my trip was. Have a blessed day!

Camp is over! Good news to tell, problably after my trips.

Crazy World!!!!

Well, it has been awhile. I did get much needed rest and want some more. I have many things coming up here in a few weeks. One more day of daycamp(8 weeks YIKES). I have been busy preparing to move. I get check off a few things:

Apartment-DONE
Lights-DONE
Gas-DONE plus $50 visa gift card- Yeh!
Cable- NOT NEEDED- You will not believe what they want to charge for a combo of direct tv without a sallelite disk( No this is not stolen cable)- Direc Path is the company.

Address change for mail, and other bills- TBD

I do have some other news that I can't report right now but will here in the near future. ( No, it is not marriage- I wish- My leasing consultant was pretty hot! But No!)

I have been reading some very interesting blogs lately. Check out Liz Moore and Terry Rush- they are both blogging some real good stuff here lately! I hope to blog soon! Upcoming trips- Dallas Texas, Edmond Oklahoma, and El Dorado, Arkansas! That's all for now!
