Well,
It has been good so far. I got the chance to see some people I have not seen in quite a while. I have to say, I do miss Texas. I drove around Desoto sunday afternnon to just look at the place that I had not been in over a year. I got the chance to worship at Creekside ( Rolling Hills) in their brand new building. This has been an answered prayer for them. They had over 400 people in attendance the very first sunday in the building. I have a lot of mixed emotions about my time at this place. Again, I will say I met some very wonderful people who have impacted my life and for that I will be forever grateful. I did have Country Fried Steak for lunch on sunday. I like the car I have rented for this very special week. I have been pondering whether to buy a new car. Hopefully, I won't, but this Cobalt rides pretty well.
I am on the campus of Oklahoma Christian where a good friend of mine( Nathan) invited to speak to his leadership camp. I am excited about tonight, but needed a break to report to you all. I will get a chance to have dinner tonight with KT and Jimmy( I posted their pictures in an earlier blog) Life is sooo good. We are eating in my favorite all time restaurant Cracker Barrel. Wish you were here, gonna go! Bye!

Leadership- Teens/ Adults
I have spent the last couple of days catching up on many things. One, would be spending quality time wth my nephews and nieces. I have learned so much this week about leadership with teens. They are still watching the adults. We have to be honest with them. We forget sometimes they are still very young. I love quality time with my nephews and nieces when I am not in a rush to go somewhere. I needed to catch up. It has help me in my preparation for the Oklahoma Chrisitan Leadership Academy that I am speaking at next week. I am so looking forward to this gathering. I get to visit with some friends I have not seen in a few months while there. Anyway, be praying for teens all over the world. The adults still have a role in helping the teens lead. They would still like for adults to lead them now while they are still learning. Let's never forget that! Be Good!

Rest Rest Rest
Rest is coming! I am looking forward to getting out of town for a few days. No, I am not telling where I am going, just that it will be far from Georgia. Not Texas, not yet. I am working on a trip at the end of the month. I have found a condo and an apartment I like. I will see what will happen over the next few days.
I have found a new show to watch or it found me. It is called the Realestate Pro( I think) it is on the TLC channel. I love watching behind the scene stuff, like how it was made, and etc. Their marathons keep coming on tv on the weekend. Anyway, I like the program. He decides to buy a house, fix it up and on the market within a week. I am facinated because they never show any stumbling block for him. He gets it done. I continue to watch just to see what the cost to renevate and final sale price.
I was asked today, how long I stayed at Harding, and also Texas. I think the person asking the questions is trying to figure out how long I will be here at GAC. I don't plan on leaving. I did not plan on leaving Harding, or my first Texas ministy either. I think sometimes God allows you to explore. I saw Evan Almighty yesterday, it was funny and deep for me in understanding God. How he works in our lives and how he answers our request. I saw it with a bunch of day campers from 3rd grade to 8th graders. I like when I can go and leave a theatre being more challenge in my faith.
I will be not blogging for a few days. I hope to return next week with great news about where I will live and hopefully reveal my Texas plans. Good night!

This week's benchmark July 8-14
Stolen from Terry Rush Blog: I will look this week to see how I am doing! Terry wrote we are ahead of the world in our thinking how are you this week?~
Here are ten items I see the kingdom already knows while the world lags behind:
Terry Rush
To live, die to self.
To keep, give away.
To be strong, use your weaknesses.
To win, lose.
To perpetually preserve in memory, consume weekly (Lord's Supper).
To win an argument, don't argue.
To get a lot done, don't engage in a lot of things. Focus.
To be effectively active, be still and know He is God.
To lead well, care about the reject.
To care about the reject, remember if it weren't for His mercy you would still be one.

2nd Sunday Off
Today, the two churches I visited was Campus Church and East Point church(one that I grew up in).
Today, I got to sleep in again, but longer. I did not go to Sunday School class, but went to second service. I can now understand why people skip bible class, and sleep in on Sundays. This is the second sunday for me to sleep later. Don't worry, I will not slide too much, but I am enjoying this time off.
Campus 2nd service: I loved the singing and to see the diversity in the room. The only problem is that I did not see it upfront on stage. I said to myself, what a great diverse church that the leadership have not embraced it's diversity. I will tell you what I mean by that: I have worked for many churches and have consulted some to say to the leadership let your actions speak louder than your words. Though this church is very diverse but no other ethnic group in their praise team, announcements, preaching, Lord supper comments, and etc. Actions- nonverbals count more with minorities. So many people have given lip service, show it in your actions. I even began thinking about the school in which I work and asked the same question there. It has been here for 40 years and though the student population is diverse, the faculty is not. We even have a director of diversity(black) but we trully lack diversity in key leadership positions. This is sad since we are in 2007.
East Point: Smaller than campus, but I trully enjoyed talking to lifelong friends. Louis Robinson-big time mentor in my life, Jimmy Robinson-courted his daughter who is not serving in Kuwait(Yes, she is married for those wanting to know more), Rita- woman of faith also the church secretary, and so many more. Eric Welchel is the preacher there now. I enjoyed thinking about the many years in that building. They will canvass the area next saturday. I think I am going to try and join them just for more fun in my simple boring life.
I have enjoyed today. I also got a chance to go to my mothers for Sunday dinner. I continue to be amazed at how happy my mom is when all of her children and grandchildren share a meal she cooked. She is a wonderful soulfood cook. We have collard greens, pototoe salad(my mom has the best) fried chicken(You don't have to be black to enjoy), and to top it off my favorite dessert sweet potatoe pie. It was good!
This is my do or die week about a house. I am hopefully going to view one more condo that I am hoping will be the one and make an offer and close by the end of the month. If this does not happen, I will be in an apartment again for another year- which would not be bad, but I need the interest payments. I might buy some land to build on in the future who knows.
I do have two more weeks of daycamp. We are going to see Evan Almighty tomorrow. It should be an easy day. I do hope your week goes well. Be Good!

1st Sunday Off- No upfront leading
Well, this was my first real sunday off. What I mean by that is that I did not lead singing or preach somewhere. I can not honestly remember the last time that happened. I started my day by getting up at 9am. Please understand I have eithre left my house or at the church by 8:30, to sleep in on a sunday was a real treat. I went to see brother don this morning. He was great- Pray, pass, pause, pray, and perceived. Don hit me between the eyes with this one. I can be very selfish person. Don reminded me how I think of things with his example of buying a door at Home Depot. He had to wait for 90 minutes, I said it right 90 minutes for a specialist to get the door down for don to purchase. I did go to bible class, I wanted to skip it just to see how it felt. I went and it was an endurance. I like more interactive classes than someone lecturing in the same tone. Anyway, Don's lesson straighten me out on this one as well. I went tonight to a smaller church to just check out sunday night church. Three songs and the rest of the time was sermon time about the plan of salvation. It was a good reminder to me when he asked the question who are you studying the bible with lately. I want to encourage all to be involved in a study with someone. It keeps you healthy in your relationship with God. He put us here to share the story. Embry Hill reminded me of that tonight. I also got a chance to drop by and help with tech issues with a mission team to African. The movie was "Faith like potatoes". This movie based on a true story really hit home on my wonderful Sunday off Sunday. I don't know how you can get it but it inspire me to asked the question about my own faith. I know God has been very faithful to me. I need to be more faithful to him. The following I would like to express as I recommit my faith to him:
I have faith that God will:
Find me a place to live to bring him more glory
Find me a help me to continue working for the kingdom
Heal my family of issue and point more of them to him
Used me as a vessel to facilitate all that he wants to do with my work at GAC,East Cobb, and etc.
Bring me closer to friends I have not seen or contacted in a while.
Direct me to a doctoral study to fulfill a promise made earlier in my life.
Fill me with joy, and contentment as I do more for the kingdom
Make it more clear to me the objective of day camp and my role there.
Have a blessed week!
