Today is my mom's 61st birthday. I took the day off to spend with her. It was another great day! We went to have lunch with 2 of the 3 sisters. We ate at my mom's favorite(mine too) Mary Mac Tea room downtown Atlanta. We went to a thrift store(another favorite of my moms) where she really did not buy anything(strange for my mom) I later discovered can't buy if you don't have money. So, we went to Bath and Body works! My sister's had to remind me that not everyone is made of money( I know this, they think I don't) So, my tradition with my mom is for us to get the best deal. Well, they had the Buy 3 and get one free! You should have seen the smile. After taking my sister back to her home, I picked up my nephews to take to my mom's house for her birthday. We enjoyed laughing and I enjoyed watching my mom laugh. We have not had the best of times as I have had to implement budget in order for her to live on her own. We had a great day!

Great Service today!
Have you ever been to a service where the Holy spirit takes over. Well, today I felt like he did! Today, I worshpped with the East Cobb church. Yes, I was leading, but I think the Holy Spirit took over today! We started with a song that I like to lead call " Let us worship the father" I like to start service on time, so we would end on time. Potluck was to follow. Those who know me- I lovesssss some Potluck! The song was Days of Elijah. I have led this some trillions of time, but today was a different sunday. I believe my worship is so much better when I do it with others. Today proved my case for me. It was different. I could have sung it 20 times this morning. Everyone filled with awe- comes to my mind. Sunday's like today is what it is all about. We got a little glimspe of heaven. God was there today! I wanted to step aside and have his spirit to continue leading. I am not saying that the spirit it not always there. Today was different

How do you know when to listen to the spirit? Today, I questioned myself for the first time about leaving East Cobb and going to North Atlanta. Wow! Be in prayer! I want to listen to God!

Go Dawgs! What a game yesterday! I am becoming a bigger Dawg fan right now. It reminds me of when I finally became a Maverick's fan. It is contagious. What is your favorite college team? Go Dawgs!

Life has been good!
Life has been good. I am enjoying life here lately. I have spent some quality time with my mom, enjoying the bible classes at North Atlanta, and enjoying my work at GAC. Life is good! I did missed out on a white water trip this past weekend. I was looking forward to going and then I overslept. Can you believe that? I can't believe it! I went to bed early, excited about going down that river. I told my classes how I was looking forward to it, and then I overslept. I thought I set the alarm( I set the time to wake up, but did not push the turn alarm on button). I am sooooo mad at myself. I tried to clean my apartment and had enough of that and took my mom out to lunch instead of finishing this great task. Well, tonight is volleyball games. I will attend my Junior High team and then proceed to North Atlanta and play with Jay Collins and others. Some may remember this red head. I have known him for so long. He is a really cool guy. Nothing new on the woman front, but I am attending a great class to expose my issues. (Mainly to myself, not really out in front of people- Are you kidding me?) Anyway, those of you still reading, God is not threw with me yet! Keep being good!

Rated G
I just found out that my blog is rated as "G" for general audiences. It did say that I had one bad word and I guess now it will be two: the word crack. so I apologize to those I have offended with this word. So what is your rating? http://mingle2.com/blog-rating
Other than this, Life is good. I have nothing new to report, so stay tune! Thanks to http://tinaallyn.blogspot.com/ for sharing this rating site to all of my friends. Although, I don't think I have met you yet at North Atlanta. Thanks anyway!

September is here!
Cooler weather has arrived in Atlanta. I have been sweatin up a storm. I even went to the doctor to make sure I was doing alright. He said I was. I lost a few pounds( He also was glad about that as well) My body is large( don't laugh- yours is problably large as well) Anyway, cooler weather is here and I will hopefully now be able to wear shirts that are light without worrying about underarm sweat( that sounds bad)

Today was my last day officially with the East Cobb Church. I have trully enjoyed my time there. I will be attending North Atlanta church beginning next week. Right now just as a member- more to report later. They gave me a dating basket as I have told them this move is being made because I don't want to be 40 and single. ( I am reminded again of the 42 old woman who wanted to date me- YIKES!) Well, in 6 years I'll be that woman. So, God said Go young man! Anyway, I am looking forward to being a regular member for once. I have never been in this situation. It will be interesting while it last!

My mom continues to crack me up. This is the lady who taught me to say even to my students "The more you cry, the less you pee" ( I know, keep laughing- she has more, but this is a G-rated website) Today, she informs me that she paid her rent. Not too funny, I had not deposited her checks yet, she went on to say it would be ok her rent man really did not need the money. I asked her how did she know, he still had not cashed the check from last month. I proceeded to tell her that did not matter. She proceeded to tell me where to go. ( if you know what I mean) She is very funny, if you are around, I never know what she might say to you.

I am now caught up on all of the beginning of the year things teacher's have to do. I have been behind here lately. I continue to thankful for the opportunities God gives me to minister to others. This week, I agreed to lead worship for the Christian Education Associations meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. Good ole Dr. Jerry Bowling from Harding, gave me the call. He and his late wife Carol, both always encouraged me while I did my volunteer work for Downtown Church in Searcy. He is a good man. I look forward to seeing him again in January. This reminds me of all of the Youth gatherings I have had a chance to be part of. I will blog about that at some point. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy your Labor day weekend. Terry
