Been Reading!

Reading to me can be fun. Only if I get to read what I like. The giving tree is my all time favorite book to read. I know it is elementary, but I like that book. So far, I have read 2 books on this break, and I am in the office today looking for more. I have been waiting for years to get the hunger to read. Well, it has come. Right before turning 37(January 9th)(Not too early to start shopping for my present). Anyway, the two books I have read and reread are The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, and The Unchurched. Both revealed a lot to me as a christian, and a christian educator. We as Christians have a lot of work to do. Also, do you see yourself as a team player. I struggled with this answer, because I am so much wanting to be a team player. I also want it my way. As a leader, you want to be a team player. Many people over my 36 years of life have counted on me to lead. I wonder as I look back and reflect, was I a team player. I highly reccommend both books. Caution for th Dysfuncitons- there are cuss words in it. I wish that was not in the book.

Pray for Teenagers everywhere!

Satan is attacking our teenagers. Many of you know, I work with them daily. I see the good, bad, and the ugly. I would not trade my job with anyone. Pray! Pray again! They are so wired to do almost anything. If you can remember back to your teen years. I don't know if it was great or not. Satan is still battling to get their hearts. He must be defeated. I am reminded of the song I belong to Jesus. Pray, Pray, Pray. Please take the time to pray that they will see God. PRAY!

I have not posted lately!

I have not posted anything lately. It has been busy. Right now, I am in a musical this weekend with East Cobb. I am fighting a cold as well. I do have a solo. Just pray that I will be able to do it. I have been helping with the basketball team. I think I may be going thru my midlife crisis of always wanting to be a coach especially a basketball coach. It has been fun. Lately, I have been thinking and praying about family, my students, and the school I work for. I may have said this before, but I hate when Adults fail children. I am seeing it a lot lately. It is not good. It is from satan. I have been looking deeply at myself lately as well. I love what I am doing, and I am very grateful for all the opportunities. I don't want to fail the children. I guess, I just need to rest and take a weekend off soon. I hope the holidays are going great for you. We are about 2 weeks out from our break. Happy Holiday's to everyone.
